History: Hy Bae showed up after the incidents with Yvetal and Xerneas, obviously, but before she arrived in the Sun Empire she and her family traveled a lot. That being said, her family was made up of other rock pokemon that found her. She is still unaware how Carbinks even come to be. Her family used to sell all sort of wares like evolutionary stones and jewels and other things they mined. She became fond of precious jewels at an early age.
Since her family traveled often from their home in the Bronze Coast, one of her 'parents' were contracted with the Hideyoshi ninja clan from the Sun Empire, and worked to obtain information for them. Often, Hy Bae was sent as the messenger to the estate of the head of that clan.
For years she served as the messenger, until she decided to do some traveling of her own. When she returned home that day, though, her family was all dead. As soon as she was about to set out again to investigate, they were alive once more. Curious of the workings of this death spell, she decided to pay a visit to the Sun Empire, where the death was rumored to both begin and end.

Additional info: Technically, Carbinks are genderless, but Hy Bae considers itself female. Hy Bae will get offended if one were to refer to it as anything but female.
